Before restoration

This three storey property was acquired by the Trust in 1980 and consists of a ground floor shop with a separately accessed flat above. The property dates back to the mid 18th century, is slate roofed and built of large bricks laid in Flemish bond above the modern shop front. Each of the first and second floors has a pair of sash windows with some stone sills and slightly segmental brick arched heads, the projecting cornice is plain. No original features survive on the ground floor.
